There has never been a better year to celebrate this.
There are a few very loud idiots causing all kinds of extra pain and stress for librarians everywhere, but most notably in schools. People seem to think it’s OK to be the morality police for the entire community, and are pressuring librarians and school boards to get rid of books- often having never actually read the books they are pissed off about.
If you happen to know a school librarian today is a great day to reach out and tell them they are doing a great job. If you don’t know one personally, you can help by showing support against all forms of censorship/ book banning.
